Dear P.S./I.S. 192 Families,

As we approach the end of the school year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for trusting us with your child(ren) every day at P.S./I.S. 192. 

A special thank you goes out to the parents who have actively engaged in our school events, PTA meetings, and celebrations; your partnership has been invaluable in creating a strong sense of community. 

We also appreciate the dedication of our PTA Board for 2024-2025, Mr. Peter Campanella and Veronika Zhvania. Our upcoming PTA meeting and election will be held on Tuesday, June 10th at 6:30 PM, and we encourage anyone interested in joining the PTA, School Leadership Team (SLT), or Title I committee to attend. 

If you’re interested in volunteering at the school, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Solange Cisneros-Steinert, at scisnerossteine@schools.nyc.gov for more details. 

As the last day of school approaches, we hope you will continue to engage your child’s mind and body during the break; we will provide resources to assist with this. Please remember that Thursday, June 26 will be a full day of instruction, with dismissal at 2:20 PM.

 Lastly, congratulations to our outstanding pre-K students “stepping up” to Kindergarten, our Kindergarteners “stepping up” to 1st grade, our 5th graders “stepping up” to 6th grade and our 8th graders graduating to high school.  To any 5th graders moving on to a different school and to our 8th graders, your growth and resilience have been inspiring, and you will be greatly missed. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and wish you all the best in your new adventures!

Please find below some important informational reminders:

•  Doors open at 7:40 AM for all students that wish to eat breakfast

•  School begins at 8:00 AM. Students that arrive after 8:00 AM are marked late and this will be reflected on their attendance report.
•  If you are leaving P.S./I.S. 192 and moving to another school, or, you are moving out of the state please, make sure to return electronic devices to the main office before the end of the school year.
